The Canadian Eventing Committee has named Riddle Master as the Omega Alpha Canadian Event Horse of the Month for June, based on his second place finish in the CCI 3* division at the 24th annual CCI Bromont Three Day Event, The Todd Sandler Challenge, in Bromont, QC, on June 10-13, 2010. This is the second time that Riddle Master has had this distinction as he was also name the recipient of the award in October 2009.

Riddle Master (Rodero x Eyes to Rule), Caroline Bazley's nine-year-old Canadian Sport Horse gelding, ridden by Rebecca Howard of Salmon Arm, BC, finished second in the advanced CCI 3* division. Out of a strong starting field of 31 entries, the pair sat in ninth place after dressage with a score of 54.6 and was clear with only 4.8 time penalties over the Derek Di Grazia designed cross-country course, which moved them into fourth place. A fault-free show jumping round secured a second place finish for Riddle Master and Howard with a final score of 59.4.

"I would like to thank Canadian Eventing and Omega Alpha for selecting Riddle Master as the Canadian Event Horse of the Month for June," said Bazley. "Rebecca Howard's performance at Bromont with Riddle Master was absolutely stellar. Riddle Master is a talented, cleaver, home-bred horse, but it is through his partnership with Rebecca that his best is being developed. Rebecca is a true all-round horsewoman."

"Omega Alpha's generosity and support for eventing in Canada is greatly appreciated by both the riders and the owners. Their products are an integral element to the well-being of these high-level equine athletes," added Bazley.
