NAL Extends Grace Period
Annville, PA, USA

The North American League (NAL) has extended the membership grace period for riders competing in the NAL's newest division, the Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic.

All memberships received prior to March 1, 2009 will receive credit for all shows in which they competed since the start of the season last September. This applies to the Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper standings only. The grace period for all other divisions ended on December 1, 2008.

The new Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic Series joins the NAL's other six series, including the NAL Adult Hunter, NAL Children's Hunter, NAL Adult Jumper, NAL Children's Jumper, NAL Pony Jumper and NAL Open Jumper Speed.

The Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic Series is open to all junior and amateur-owner riders. A rider need not be a member of the NAL to compete in an NAL class, but only current members accrue points toward year-end finals held at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in October. All horses competing in the NAL finals earn U.S. Equestrian Federation Horse-of-the-Year points. The current NAL qualifying period started September 1, 2008 and ends August 31, 2009.
